Dr. Michael Cooper is a Board Certified
Plastic Surgeon and Burn Specialist.
He attended New York University and Cornell University Medical
School before beginning his residency at St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center. After completing a burn fellowship
at Cornell University Hospital's famous burn unit, Dr. Cooper then moved onto the Plastic Surgery program there for his
training in all aspects of the field.
In addition to his private practice Dr. Cooper is also the
Director of the Staten Island Regional Burn Unit and Attending Plastic Surgeon at Staten Island University Hospital,
St Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center and Jamaica Hospital Center. He specializes in body contouring and breast
procedures, treatment of keloids and scar improvements.
As a member of major medical and surgical societies Dr. Cooper keeps abreast of the major advances
in treatment. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgeons and a member of The American Burn
Association.
